INTERVIEW
"amirah has always been the difficult child. it was more then her father and i being teen parents and not really knowing what we were doing, she was just.. a handful. beyond a handful. stubborn and hyper all the time, she never slept and you had to keep an eye on her at all times. much like her father she was prone to erratic mood swings, happily colouring one minute then it fits the next. she always wanted for attention and never saw a shortage of it, i knew she was going to be some kind of little diva when she grew up, she didn't prove me wrong when she began theatre in middle school, it focused her more then anything we could find. losing her father was hard on her, on us all, but she took it the hardest. when she was in rehab we found out that she was bipolar, like her father. it certainly makes sense, it'd have been great to know when she was a child, maybe then she wouldn't have had to go through the whole ordeal of rehab."

"mirah was a certified nut. that was what made her interesting though, no one was short for entertainment around her. we'd been friends since the first day of school, she was the life of the party. i was in love with her, i really was but thing became too much for me. she was bigger then our little suburb, i felt like i was holding her back. we hadn't been talking for a year or two when she came back here to go into rehab and whenever i went to see her after she got out and before she went to london she'd refuse to see me. things are strained. obviously."
